CONCORD -- An armed robber escaped with an unknown amount of money after holding up a sandwich shop Sunday evening.
No one was injured.
The robbery was reported at 8:13 p.m. at the Subway shop at 4701 Clayton Road, according to Concord police Lt. Darrell Graham. A black man in his 20s, at least six feet tall and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a mask over his face, entered the store, pulled a silver handgun and ordered two employees to empty the register.
The employees did not report seeing the man get into a car as he left the store, Graham said. No one was in custody as of 9:30 p.m.
