SANTA CLARA -- Premium wines, live entertainment, a wide variety of food and 175 arts and craft booths are some of the highlights on tap at the Santa Clara Art & Wine Festival scheduled for 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in Central Park.
Admission to the festival is free and parking is available. The festival is a fundraiser for a number of local charities.
The festival features two dozen food booths serving everything from tri-tip and pulled pork sandwiches to tamales and Chinese chicken salad. There will also be wine from J. Lohr, Wente, Bargetto, and Emilio Guglielmo wineries and micro-brewed beer from Gordon Biersch Brewing Company.
Bands will perform on three stages in the park. For the children, there is an area with a giant slide, trackless train, rock climbing wall, games, and food court.
