About 160 Vallejo residents concerned with a recent string of officer-involved shootings have packed a City Council meeting Tuesday.
Police said there have been seven officer-involved shootings in Vallejo this year, and five of those shootings have been fatal.
Protesters disrupted an Ad-Hoc Citizens Public Safety Advisory Committee meeting Monday night and the meeting adjourned early with the demonstrators vowing to take their case to the City Council tonight.
Officer-involved shootings is not an official agenda item for tonight's meeting but interim Police Chief Joseph Kreins is in attendance there.
Protesters are holding signs demanding "justice" for several police shooting victims, including Guy Jarreau, killed in late 2010, Mario Romero, killed on Sept. 2, and Jared Huey, an armed robbery suspect shot on July 2.
