PITTSBURG -- Police said a 26-year-old Antioch man is in stable condition after being shot outside an apartment complex Thursday evening.

Officers responded at 9:15 p.m. to reports of a shooting at the Parks Manor Apartments complex at 850 E. Leland Road where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, said Lt. Ron Raman.

Raman said the victim, out on parole for an undisclosed violent felony offense, was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injury.

"We have no indication why he was in Pittsburg because he was uncooperative with officers," Raman said Friday.

Police are investigating the motive for the shooting and did not have a suspect Friday.

The incident marks the second shooting in Pittsburg in less than a week. An 18-year-old Brentwood man was shot and killed while making a rap video at Buchanan Park last Friday.
