SAN LEANDRO -- A town-hall meeting to talk about the state of transportation in the city is planned for Sept. 27 at the Senior Community Center.
"Residents have been telling us of their concerns about the condition of their streets as well as the future of transportation, such as the BART station and the BRT issue," Mayor Stephen Cassidy said in a release.
Those attending will be asked for feedback on the AC Transit Bus Rapid Transit bus station design.
The meeting also will look at a proposed half-cent sales tax to fund transportation projects throughout the county. The tax is on the November ballot.
Representatives of the city, the Alameda County Transportation Commission, AC Transit and BART will be on hand to answer questions.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at 13909 E. 14th St.
In addition, the City Council will look at the state of San Leandro's roads at a work session at 7 p.m. Sept. 24 at City Hall in the Council Chambers, 835 E. 14th St. The meeting is also open to the public.
