PITTSBURG -- A man and a teenager have been arrested and a third person is being sought in connection with the fatal shooting of a Brentwood man at Buchanan Park last week, police said.

Police said all three suspects were part of a rival rap group that confronted and tried to rob 18-year-old Dayvon George and others while they made a rap video at the popular park around 6:30 p.m. Sept. 7. One of the suspects pulled a gun and shot George in the back. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Arrested on suspicion of robbery and murder were a 21-year-old Oakley man and a 15-year-old boy, Pittsburg police Lt. Ron Raman said. Police did not identify the Oakley man, saying to do so would compromise the investigation.

Police are also seeking an 18-year-old man in connection with the homicide, who Raman also declined to name.

The three suspects are part of a rival rap group and had an ongoing feud with the victim over the past few years, Raman said.

No additional suspects are being sought, Raman said. Police are expected to present the case to the Contra Costa District Attorney's Office next week, Raman said.
