As Lindsay Lohan fights allegations she bumped a pedestrian with her Porsche, Amanda Bynes' parents are racing to stop their daughter from burning down Burbank in response.
Mom and Dad apparently have left their Texas home and moved to California to defuse the walking bomb that is their troubled daughter, according to TMZ.
Hopefully their new house has a long driveway and a garage door made of reinforced steel.
Sources connected to the family said Bynes' DUI last April prompted the move. The couple put its home in Cedar Park, Texas, up for sale, but couldn't immediately find a buyer.
Meanwhile, chaos ensued on the highways of Southern California.
As Bynes situation got worse, with hit-and-run accidents, alleged pot-smoking photos and lots of other strange behavior, they decided they couldn't wait and leased the place.
Hopefully they have enough money to afford tranquilizer rifles and a large net.
A source told the site the parents don't want a Britney Spears-type of conservatorship, but realize they need to be near their daughter for support. If you remember, last spring Bynes father said publicly he didn't think Bynes had mental issues or a substance abuse problem.
Apparently he's spent some time on the Internet since then.
The folks know California. TMZ says Bynes was born and raised in Thousand Oaks.
