CONCORD -- A man riding his bicycle on Port Chicago Highway was struck by a vehicle Wednesday night but will survive, police said.

The collision occurred at 8:40 p.m. near Pacheco Boulevard, Concord police Corp. David Dunkley said. How the collision happened was not immediately available, he said.

The man on the bike was transported to a hospital with injuries not considered life threatening, Dunkley said. The driver of the undisclosed vehicle was uninjured.

An investigation was ongoing.
