PLEASANT HILL -- One person was trapped in an overturned vehicle and later taken to a hospital after a hit-and-run accident Wednesday night, police said.

The driver suspected of fleeing the scene, Rockwood Sizemore, 54, of Martinez, was later found and arrested, police said. No one else was injured.

The accident was reported about 9:43 p.m. at the intersection of Paso Nogal Road and Norse Drive. Police arriving on the scene found an overturned silver Subaru Outback with an 18-year-old male driver trapped inside.

The man was freed and taken to a hospital with cuts and other non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators soon identified a second vehicle, a red Pontiac Fiero, that had been involved in the crash. The driver had fled the scene, police said.

The Fiero was located later Wednesday on Center Avenue in Martinez, showing damage consistent with the crash, police said. Sizemore was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and booked into County Jail in Martinez.

Any witnesses to the crash are asked to call Pleasant Hill police at 925-288-4630.
