SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- A police shooting that left a suspect wounded spurred a protest outside a San Francisco police station.

Sgt. Michael Andraychak says several dozen people gathered near the Mission Police Station late Thursday night in an apparent protest against the shooting that occurred earlier in the evening.

He says the protest lasted more than an hour and the crowd dispersed with no injuries or arrests.

The shooting remains under investigation and few details were released.

The spokesman says a loaded gun allegedly belonging to the suspect was recovered from the scene.

The suspect's condition was listed as non-life threatening. No names were released.
