Firefighters battled a 32-acre brush fire near Roddy Ranch near Brentwood on Saturday afternoon.

A vegetation fire that darkened skies above Roddy Ranch near Brentwood was contained but not before burning at least 32 acres, a Cal Fire official said.

Nobody was injured, and no structures were damaged, Cal Fire Batallion Chief Mike Marcucci said. The fire was contained just after 3 p.m.

Investigators have not determined the cause of the fire, which began at 1:53 p.m.
