A 4.5 quake rattled Mendocino County, 2 miles northeast of Ukiah, at about 8:15 a.m. Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake struck about 6 miles deep on the Maacama Fault and was followed by a 2.4 temblor about 10 minutes later, the USGS said.
A police dispatcher in Ukiah says there have been no reports of damage or injury although the quake shook the department's windows.
