SAN LEANDRO -- Authorities on Tuesday released the identity of a homicide victim found fatally shot at an apartment complex last weekend.

Romeo Weaver, 21, was found dead from a gunshot wound at Ashland Village Apartments in the 1100 block of Kentwood Lane in unincorporated San Leandro, Sgt. J.D. Nelson said.

As of Tuesday no arrest had been made and a motive was unknown for the Sept. 16 slaying, Nelson said.

Weaver, who lived at the complex, was found inside an apartment there after deputies responded to numerous 911 calls about 12:15 a.m. reporting a shooting.

The killing marked the fourth homicide in unincorporated Alameda County this year.
