Contra Costa readers who have been asking where to make donations to the Nuri family can do so at the The Law Offices of Michael Cardoza in Walnut Creek, the attorney said Wednesday.
Stoorai Nuri's husband, Solaiman, and 9-year-old daughter, Hadees, were killed April 7 when a teen driver lost control of his SUV and struck them on Treat Boulevard.
Solaiman, Hadees, and 12-year-old Hannah Nuri, were riding bicycles on the sidewalk when all three were hit. Hannah Nuri suffered minor injuries.
The driver, 17-year-old Concord resident David Rosen, was speeding at the time and has pleaded guilty to two counts of vehicular manslaughter in juvenile court.
Cardoza, who is representing Stoorai Nuri in pending civil action, said the Nuri family has not set up a bank account for donations. However, his law firm has been receiving checks in Stoorai Nuri's name, in person and in the mail.
The Law Offices of Michael Cardoza are headquartered at 1220 Oakland Blvd., Suite 200, Walnut Creek, CA 94596.
