ANTIOCH -- Police say a man driving under the influence caused a wreck Thursday that injured three people, one of them seriously, and backed up traffic along city streets.
Sudhesh Behari, 24, was arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence with injury after the 2:39 p.m. crash at the intersection of Hillcrest Avenue and Wildhorse Drive, police said. Police took him to the Martinez Detention Facility. His bail amount was not released.
Investigators were still investigating how the collision occurred, police said. The crash involved two cars. One person with major injuries was taken by helicopter to an undisclosed hospital while two others with moderate injuries were taken by ambulance, police said.
Police said Behari showed signs at the scene of being under the influence of alcohol.
