ANTIOCH--Power was fully restored Friday morning to over 4,000 Oakley and Antioch customers who lost power after a vehicle crashed into a utility pole Thursday night, a PG&E spokesperson said.
The crash occurred at Empire Avenue and Laurel Road around 9:35 p.m. and caused 4,284 to lose power, PG&E spokesperson Tamar Sarkissian said.
About 2,200 customers had their power restored within the first hour, and by 10:50 p.m., only 15 customers were without electricity, Sarkissian said. Crews worked through the night, and by 5:55 a.m., final repairs were made and service restored to the last 15 houses.
According to police, no injuries were reported in the vehicle accident. The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
