OAKLAND -- An Oakland attorney who defends employers against, among other claims, wage and hour lawsuits was appointed Friday by Gov. Jerry Brown to the California State University Board of Trustees.
Rebecca Eisen, 62, a partner at the San Francisco-based Morgan, Lewis and Bockius law firm, also serves as president of the Oakland School of the Arts Board of Directors.
Eisen is a registered Democrat who chair's her law firm's West Coast Wage and Hour Practice focusing on employment law in the financial services, insurance and retail industries.
She also conducts training seminars for employers teaching businesses the law of sexual harassment and employment practices.
Eisen has a Master's degree in English from San Francisco State University and received her law degree from San Francisco School of Law. Eisen passed the state bar exam in 1980.
Eisen will be appointed to the California State University Board of Trustees pending confirmation from the State Senate.
