HALF MOON BAY -- Searchers on Monday did not locate any sign of two fishermen missing since a wave flipped their boat during a Sunday morning fishing outing off the San Mateo County coast.
The hunt for Ping Tao Tsang, 55, and Carl Deng, 63, continued by both air and sea, yet remained fruitless said Coast Guard Lt. j.g. Joshua Dykman.
Tsang and Deng were among four fishermen who set out around 5:30 a.m. Sunday in a 23-foot boat near Candlestick Park. About five hours later a wave sent all four men into the water about a mile out from Pigeon Point Lighthouse.
While two men wearing life jackets managed to make it to shore, Tsang and Deng were not wearing vests and haven't been seen since. The search started around 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
Dykman said authorities haven't made a decision yet on whether to halt the rescue effort for the missing men.
