SAN LEANDRO -- The annual Sausage and Suds street fair returns this Sunday to downtown.

Thousands are expected to attend the free fair, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Parrot Street between East 14th Street and Washington Avenue, which is walking distance from the San Leandro BART station. The fair will feature, as the name implies, sausage and beer, along with wine and nonalcoholic drinks.

There will be live entertainment and a kids fun zone with activities.

A zumba dance lesson and class is scheduled for 10 a.m., followed by four bands: the Coburns, Tasche, Spazmatics and Avance.

The fair is sponsored by the San Leandro Downtown Association. For details, contact the association at info@sanleandrodowntownassociation.org or go to www.sanleandrodowntownassociation.org.
