FREMONT -- Police are asking the public for help in finding a hit-and-run driver who struck and injured a teenager with a car in a crosswalk Monday.
Officers were called at 7:30 a.m. to reports of a car hitting a boy in the crosswalk at the intersection of Nicolet Avenue and Mackenzie Place, said police spokeswoman Geneva Bosques.
The 14-year-old boy suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital by his father, police said.
The suspect, described as a described as a Hispanic male, age 35-45, was last seen driving a red, four-door sedan south on Nicolet Avenue towards Alder Avenue, police said.
