Drivers on Lone Tree Way between Antioch and Brentwood meet should expect delays in the late evening and early morning hours next week.
The contractor for the project to widen Highway 4 to four lanes from Laurel Road to Sand Creek Road in Brentwood is constructing a new bridge over Lone Tree and will be erecting temporary bridge falsework, according to a Contra Costa Transportation Authority news release.
Traffic controls will be in place on Lone Tree from Jeffery Way in Brentwood to Canada Valley Road in Antioch from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights.
One lane will be open both eastbound and westbound, and crews will be performing flagging operations for traffic, the transportation authority said.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their commute.
