Thanks to Jimmy Sharpe, Fisi Tavake and a staunch defense, the Broncos remain tied at the top of the DVAL standings, pulling away from the Falcons in the fourth quarter at Diablo Valley College.

"Our defense kept us in the game early because our offense was miscuing early," Northgate coach Justin Lowell said. "In the second half we came out and played the way we should have and I'm proud of how we responded."

Sharpe scored from 8 yards out late in the second quarter. Then, following a Brandon Lee interception, he scored on the first play of the drive, a 51-yard run late in the third quarter to make the score 14-0.

Tavake added a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter for Northgate (7-1, 3-0 DVAL), a 4-yard run and then a 51-yard interception return to put the icing on the cake.

The Falcons (3-5, 1-2) moved the ball well at times in the first half as Matt DeSilva had runs of 15, 32 and 39 yards, but College Park couldn't sustain the drives. DeSilva finished with 127 yards on 19 carries.
