KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. -- In a case that may be linked to the disappearance of two Bay Area men, autopsies on two bodies found last week show that both were killed by gunshot wounds, authorities said.

Officials at the Oregon State Police crime lab are still trying to identify the bodies, which were found Oct. 18 near Bonanza, Ore. A burned-out truck found Oct. 6 at an abandoned ranch about six miles away has led officials to believe the bodies may be those of Ricardo Jauregui, 38, of Oakley, and Everado Mendez-Ceja, 32, of Richmond.

Jauregui and Mendez-Ceja were reported missing two weeks ago by their families after they did not return as scheduled from a trip to Bonanza to buy a horse and hay. The truck, which was burned so badly the license plate could not be read, belongs to Jauregui, according to the Klamath County Sheriff's Office.
