Three San Francisco restaurants owned by Marin residents have each earned a coveted Michelin star in the 2013 Michelin Guide, released Wednesday.

New this year is Keiko à Nob Hill, owned by Seigo Takei and Keiko Takahashi. The couple, who live in Mill Valley not far from their former Michelin-starred restaurant, El Paseo, opened Keiko à Nob Hill last November.

Aziza, owned by Sausalito's Mourad Lahlou, maintained its one star as did Nicasio resident Michael Mina's eponymous restaurant.

"I think it's a good start," Takei said. "We're aiming for higher."
