ANTIOCH -- Three man have been arrested and charged with the murder of a San Francisco couple who were found shot to death Oct. 14 on a small stretch of unincorporated Contra Costa County between Pittsburg and Antioch.
Reginald Whitley, 31, of Antioch, Lamar Michaels, 25, and Sheldon Silas, 24, both of Pittsburg, were arrested at a home on the 1200 block of Detroit Avenue in Concord after a search warrant was performed there, Contra Costa County Sheriff's Spokesman Jimmy Lee said.
They have been charged with murder in connection with the deaths of Christopher Zinn, 24, and Brieanna Dow, 21, of San Francisco.
The shooting was reported around 5:25 p.m. on Buchanan Road, just west of the Antioch city limit, where officers found Zinn and Dow lying in the roadway, Lee said. Zinn was pronounced dead about 20 minutes after deputies arrived on the scene; Dow was taken to Sutter Delta Medical Center, where she died about 90 minutes later.
A motive and other details of the case were not released Thursday.
The three suspects remain at county jail on no bail status, Lee said. Anyone with information about the case may call 925-313-2651.
