OAKLAND -- Two men were shot in Oakland late Friday night in separate shootings across town from each other, police said.
About 11:30 p.m., one man was shot near the intersection of 10th Street and Mandela Parkway, where an armed man was seen leaving the scene in a vehicle, police said. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Less than an hour later, a shootout was reported on Allendale Avenue at Octavia Street at 12:20 a.m. Saturday, when as many as 30 shots were fired, police said. A man shot in that exchange was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
No arrests have been made in either incident, and witnesses in the Allendale shooting have not been cooperative, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
