Warren Miles Long
SCHOOL: James Logan
POSITION: Running back/linebacker
THE STAT LINE: Long scored four touchdowns, including ones on runs of 67 and 60 yards on his first two carries against Irvington, and finished with 211 rushing yards on 10 carries in the Colts' 56-8 victory in the first round of the North Coast Section Division I playoffs. On defense, he had nine tackles in the game.
POSITION: Running back
THE STAT LINE: Ross, who stepped in for injured running back Jamal Lockett, rushed for 269 yards and four touchdowns as the Pirates beat host Monte Vista 55-29 in the first round of the NCS Division I playoffs. He scored on runs of 54, 80, 51 and 11 yards, helping Pittsburg avenge a 44-14 nonleague loss to the Mustangs earlier this season.
SCHOOL: San Ramon Valley
SPORT: Water polo
POSITION: 2 meter
THE STAT LINE: Klass led the top-seeded Wolves to a second consecutive NCS Division I title, scoring a game-high four goals in a 7-1 win over rival Monte Vista in the championship game. She had 13 goals total in three NCS wins.
SCHOOL: St. Joseph Notre Dame
POSITION: Outside hitter
THE STAT LINE: Langowski had 19 kills and 19 digs in the Pilots' 25-14, 20-25, 25-18, 23-25, 15-7 victory over University in a NCS Division V quarterfinal match. She also had nine kills and five digs in St. Joseph Notre Dame's first-round 25-15, 25-4, 25-9 win over Sonoma Academy.
BISHOPE APODACA, Fremont, football, Sr. -- Apodaca rushed for 208 yards on 18 carries and five touchdowns as the Tigers defeated Castlemont 46-8. Apodaca scored on runs of 3, 60, 18, 5 and 29 yards.
ZATI WILLIAMS, Miramonte, football, Sr. -- All four passes that Williams caught in a 35-7 win over Tennyson went for touchdowns. The senior, who also had a shutdown game at cornerback, had 138 receiving yards in all. Each of his touchdown catches came in the first half.
KYLIE CARLSON, Bishop O'Dowd, volleyball, Jr. -- Carlson had 21 digs and also three aces in the Dragons' 25-15, 25-16, 25-17 victory over Analy in an NCS Division III quarterfinal match.
KATIE SBOROV, Foothill, golf, Sr. -- Sborov led the Falcons to their first ever NorCal team championship by shooting a 1-under 71 at the Brookside Country Club in Stockton.
