ANTIOCH -- The Salvation Army's Antioch branch is putting out a call for donated frozen turkeys so the nonprofit agency will be able to provide the Thanksgiving bird to needy residents.
"We don't have anything yet," Maria Rubio, director of the Antioch branch, said Thursday. "We are trying to give away turkeys to at least 50 families."
Turkey donations can be dropped off weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Salvation Army, 620 East Tregallas Road. For more information, call 925-778-5580.
