CONTRA COSTA -- A woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 4 Sunday night near Cummings Skyway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officers were called at 4:46 p.m. to Highway 4 just east of Cummings Skyway for a report of a 1991 red Toyota Corolla that flipped, said Officer Eric Anderson.

A woman injured in the crash was taken to Richmond Medical Center to be treated for a moderate head injury, according to the CHP.

The Toyota blocked one eastbound lane of traffic for about an hour.

Officers reopened the roadway to traffic at 5:44 p.m.
