BRENTWOOD -- A longtime community program that provides after school tutoring to local students is dealing with a temporary budget shortfall. Volunteers from A Place of Learning in Brentwood is asking for donations to help continue its individualized tutoring services.

The program serves at-risk youth, students with learning disabilities and English language learners. A Place of Learning is in the midst of preparing to expand the program in 2013 to reduce the current student wait list for academic help.
