A man who officers contacted as suspicious because he was sitting in a parked car at night was arrested after police said they found marijuana in the vehicle's center console.

A search of the 30-year-old man revealed additional marijuana, and he was also in possession of suspected drug paraphernalia, police said.

The man, who was arrested Nov. 14 in the 1800 block of Everett Street, also faces a charge of violating his probation, which stemmed from his conviction for possessing a controlled substance, police said.

Another man, 34, who was in the car with him, was arrested on suspicion of possessing burglary tools because he was allegedly carrying a shaved key. The arrests occurred about 10:40 p.m.

TUESDAY, NOV. 13

  • DRUNKEN DRIVING -- A traffic stop at 1:20 a.m. in the 2300 block of Blanding Avenue led to the arrest of a 28-year-old man on suspicion of drunken driving.

  • ATTEMPTED BURGLARY -- An attempted burglary was reported about 12:20 p.m. in the 1700 block of Otis Drive, where the victim told police that someone tried to open a sliding-glass door at the residence.

    WEDNESDAY, NOV. 14

  • VEHICLE THEFT -- A vehicle was reported stolen about 7:50 a.m. in the 1100 block of Pacific Marina.

  • GRAND THEFT -- Someone stole all four wheels and tires from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Marina Village Parkway. The theft was reported about 7:30 a.m.

  • MARIJUANA POSSESSION -- Police arrested a man, 36, on suspicion of possessing less than one ounce of marijuana about 7:10 p.m. in the 1400 block of Webster Street.

  • DRUNKEN DRIVING -- A 71-year-old man faces a charge of drunken driving after police said he was found sleeping behind the wheel of his vehicle with the engine running. The man also failed field sobriety tests before he was taken into custody about 7:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of Shoreline Drive. Another man, 40, was arrested on suspicion of the same offense about 11:20 p.m. in the 3200 block of Encinal Avenue, where police said he was involved in a traffic collision.

    THURSDAY, NOV. 15

  • DRUG POSSESSION -- A man who officers arrested on suspicion of public intoxication about 1:10 a.m. was also in possession of three Vicodin pills without a prescription, police said. The arrested occurred in the 400 block of Kittyhawk Road. The 22-year-old man also faces a charge of resisting arrest.

  • GRAND THEFT -- The theft of an outboard motor from a boat was reported at 6:05 a.m. in the 1100 block of Ballena Boulevard. A witness told police that he saw a man loading the motor into a vehicle and then fleeing the area.

  • VEHICLE THEFT -- Vehicles were reported stolen just before 8 a.m. in the 1200 block of St. Charles Street and about 4:20 p.m. in the 1100 block of Park Avenue. Police also recovered a vehicle reported stolen in Oakland at 2:55 p.m. in the 1800 block of Fremont Drive.

  • IDENTITY THEFT -- A resident of the 1500 block of Third Street reported identity theft about 2:30 p.m. The victim said someone used his account number to cash two checks.

    FRIDAY, NOV. 16

  • FORGERY -- A man who deposited a forged check into his account at US Bank inside Safeway at Alameda South Shore Center was arrested just before 11 a.m., police said. The man, 32, who was arrested at the center, was also allegedly carrying a key for a vehicle that was reported stolen. After officers found paperwork that belonged to the man inside the vehicle, he was booked on suspicion of vehicle theft, as well as forgery, police said.

  • BURGLARY -- A burglary was reported about 5:40 p.m. in the 2300 block of Rainbow Court.

    SATURDAY, NOV. 17

  • GRAND THEFT -- A woman told police about 1:25 a.m. that someone stole her purse while she was visiting AMF Southshore Lanes on Park Street.

  • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA -- Officers dispatched to investigate a disturbance in the 2300 block of Lincoln Avenue arrested a 59-year-old man on suspicion of public intoxication. The man, who was taken into custody about 1:50 p.m., also faces a charge of possessing drug paraphernalia, and he was wanted on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant, police said.

  • PETTY THEFT -- Police arrested a woman, 46, on suspicion of petty theft after she allegedly concealed merchandise in TJ Maxx at Alameda South Shore Center and then exited the store without paying. The arrest occurred about 7:20 p.m.

    SUNDAY, NOV. 18

  • RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE -- A vehicle reported stolen in Oakland was recovered about 11:50 a.m. in the 1900 block of Broadway.

  • BURGLARY -- Money, jewelry and other items were stolen during a burglary reported about 1:15 p.m. in the 2400 block of Otis Drive. The thief broke a glass door to get inside the residence, police said.
