A strong Pacific storm is expected to impact the Bay Area by the early to middle part of the coming week, according a weather report released Saturday by the National Weather Service.

Rainfall is expected to arrive by early Wednesday and the likelihood of rain is expected to remain high into Saturday. In addition to rain on Wednesday, strong southerly winds are expected to accompany the low pressure system, which is expected to result in hazardous boating conditions in local waters with possible gale force winds.
