BART trains were again running Sunday morning after crews fixed a massive power failure that had cut electricity to all trains for over an hour, officials said.
Around 9:18 a.m. power went out, possibly due to the nasty weather that dumped rain on the Bay Area and as a result trains couldn't move. The trains were up and running about an hour later, according to 511.org.
The transportation chaos left travellers frazzled, including Ranit Banerjee of Union City who was trying to get to San Francisco International Airport. He ended up having to lug his bags through eight cars in order to get to the one carriage that had reached the platform at the Daly City station. He gave up on the train and ended up taking a cab in effort to catch his flight to Boston.
