ANTIOCH -- St. Nick will be stopping by East County early this year to sit for photos with pets.

Homeless Animals Response Program -- otherwise known as HARP -- will hold a series of photo sessions at pet stores in Antioch and Pittsburg to raise money for its work.

People can take their fur babies to PetsMart in Pittsburg from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Dec. 15, where they will receive a digital photo in an ornamental frame for $9.95 with a Pet Perks card. HARP, a nonprofit, receives $5 of that amount.The store is at 4655 Century Blvd.

The PetsMart in Antioch will host Santa from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday and Dec. 15 and 16. The store is at 5879 Lone Tree Way in the Slatten Ranch shopping center.

Antioch's Pet Food Express also is participating from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday and Dec. 16. The store is at 5829 Lone Tree Way in the Slatten Ranch shopping center. Customers here can opt to buy either one framed digital photo for $10 or two for $15.

All proceeds from the event at this location go to HARP.
