A man and woman were arrested after a traffic stop on Santa Clara Avenue, where more than one ounce of marijuana was found in their vehicle, police said.

The couple are both age 20 and were also accused of resisting police after they allegedly ignored commands by officers before they were arrested about 2:50 p.m. Monday.

Another traffic stop about 10:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Taylor Avenue led to the arrest of a 27-year-old woman who was found in possession of suspected heroin, police said. The woman was driving with a suspended license and was in violation of her probation, police said. Additional heroin was allegedly found inside her bra while she was being booked. An officer initially pulled the woman over for driving erratically.

Police also arrested a 35-year-old man about 12:20 a.m. after a traffic stop in the 700 block of Atlantic Avenue, where they said he was found with suspected marijuana and cocaine.

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 28

  • BURGLARY ARREST -- Police arrested a man, 33, on suspicion of burglary after he was allegedly caught outside a building at Alameda Point with stolen wiring. The arrest occurred about 2:30 a.m. in the 2400 block of Lexington Street, where officers said they discovered him loading the wire into his vehicle.

  • VEHICLE THEFT -- A vehicle was reported stolen just before 10 a.m. at Bryant Avenue and Coral Street. Police also said they recovered a vehicle stolen in Patterson about 11:55 a.m. in the 300 block of Hollister Avenue, where it was reported as abandoned. Another vehicle stolen in Oakland was recovered about 1:20 p.m. in the 1400 block of Oak Street.

    THURSDAY, NOV. 29

  • UNDER THE INFLUENCE -- A 28-year-old man who was contacted by officers as a suspicious person as he sat inside his car about 1:50 a.m. was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and violating his probation, police said. Officers also said they found a glass methamphetamine pipe in the car's center console.

  • VEHICLE THEFT -- A motorcycle was reported stolen about 11:35 a.m. in the 1400 block of Walnut Street.

  • COUNTERFEIT CHECKS -- Police arrested a man, 46, about 5:45 p.m. on suspicion of attempting to pass a fraudulent check at Chase bank on Otis Drive. The man's accomplice fled the scene before officers arrived, police said.

    FRIDAY, NOV. 30

  • BURGLARY -- A commercial burglary was reported about 8:40 a.m. in the 2300 block of Santa Clara Avenue.

  • PETTY THEFT -- Police arrested a woman, 19, about 5:40 p.m. on suspicion of petty theft after they said she concealed merchandise in her purse at Kohl's at Alameda South Shore Center, then exited without paying for the items.

  • DRUNKEN DRIVING -- A woman who witnesses said was driving erratically was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after police pulled her over in the 800 block of Island Drive. The woman, 60, failed field sobriety tests before she was arrested at 7:10 p.m., police said.

    SATURDAY, DEC. 1

  • ATTEMPTED VEHICLE THEFT -- Someone tried to steal a truck in the 1600 block of Webster Street. The attempt was reported about 7:40 p.m.

  • MARIJUANA POSSESSION -- Police arrested a man, 28, about 12:40 p.m. in the 1600 block of Park Street, where he was allegedly found in possession of less than one ounce of marijuana. The man was released at the scene with a citation.

  • OUTSTANDING WARRANT -- A man, 60, who patrol officers initially contacted after they received a report that he was loitering outside Safeway at Alameda South Shore Center, was arrested after a background check revealed that he was wanted on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The man was also accused of possessing someone else's wallet.

  • PUBLIC INTOXICATION -- A man, 27, arrested for public intoxication about 11:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of Park Street also faces a narcotics charge because he was found in possession of less than one ounce of marijuana while being booked, police said.

    SUNDAY, DEC. 2

  • RECKLESS DRIVING -- Police arrested a motorist, 21, at 2 a.m. after an officer pulled him over for driving recklessly in the 1600 block of High Street and learned his license was suspended.

  • VEHICLE THEFT -- Vehicles were reported stolen at 8:45 a.m. in the 1900 block of Buena Vista Avenue and about 1:30 p.m. in the 200 block of San Jose Avenue.

  • SHOPLIFTING -- A 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of stealing clothes at Kohl's at Alameda South Shore Center was booked on a burglary charge because he allegedly entered the building planning to commit a theft, police said. The man, who was arrested just before 8 p.m., allegedly concealed merchandise under his own clothing while inside a fitting room, then tried to exit the store without paying for the items. The man also faces a charge of possessing burglary tools.

    MONDAY, DEC. 3

  • VEHICLE THEFT -- A vehicle was reported stolen just before 9 a.m. in the 1800 block of Magnolia Drive.

  • BURGLARY -- Someone stole a toolbox containing firefighting equipment during the burglary of a commercial building in the 2000 block of Challenger Drive, police said. It was reported about 1:35 p.m.

  • COUNTERFEIT CHECKS -- Counterfeit checks were passed at two businesses in the 1500 block of Park Street within less than an hour, police said. The first incident was reported about 1:50 p.m., while police learned about the second check about 2:25 p.m.
