BRENTWOOD -- Local drivers that use San Jose Avenue may want to find a different route the next two weeks.
Contractors for the project to widen Highway 4 from two to four lanes through Brentwood will be erecting a temporary bridge over San Jose starting Monday, according to a Contra Costa Transportation Authority news release.
Traffic controls will be enforced on San Jose between St. Regis Avenue and Santa Margarita Road from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Dec. 21.
Motorists are advised to expect up to 15-minute delays and should allow extra travel time.
