CONCORD -- An overturned vehicle blocking the right-hand lane of northbound Highway 242 has caused major traffic delays for commuters Friday evening.
At 5:17 p.m., CHP responded to a call that a dark-colored sedan had flipped over and landed on the right-hand side of Highway 242 just south of Olivera Road, CHP officers said.
An ambulance was called to the scene, CHP said, but it is still unknown if anyone was transported to the hospital.
It does not appear any other vehicles were involved in the accident.
Traffic was backed up all the way to Interstate 680, CHP added, and as of 6:15 p.m., only Highway 242 was beginning to clear.
