Bellarmine College Prep graduate Andreas Drbal made his World Cup debut in the two-man bobsled Saturday while pushing for Nick Cunningham of Monterey as USA-3 finished 14th in La Plagne, France. Drbal, a former UCLA javelin thrower from Belmont, is trying to earn a spot on his first Olympic team in Sochi, Russia.

Steven Holcomb of Park City, Utah, and Steve Langton of Melrose, Mass., won the bronze medal in USA-1. The four-man bobsled competition Sunday will conclude the first half of World Cup season.
