FREMONT -- The Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose are holding a prayer vigil Friday afternoon for the Sandy Hook Elementary School and Newtown communities.

The vigil will begin at 12:30 p.m. and last until 1 p.m. at the Dominican Sisters Chapel, 43326 Mission Blvd. in Fremont.

People of all faiths are invited, said a spokeswoman for the Dominican Sisters.
