The town of Danville is updating its general plan. The updated version is called the 2030 General Plan. Three planning commission meetings on the plan have already taken place where public displeasure has been voiced on several aspects of the plan.

Three more public meetings will be held before the town council will vote on whether to approve the plan.

On Jan. 22, the planning commission will receive additional public input, if necessary, and take action to forward recommendations to the town council regarding the Draft 2030 Plan, Draft Environmental Impact Report and Draft Sustainability Action Plan.

On Feb. 5, the town council will hold a public hearing to receive public testimony and to consider the recommendations regarding the Draft 2030 Plan, the DEIR, and the Draft SAP.

On March 5, the town council will hold a public hearing to receive additional public input, if necessary, and to take action on the recommendations regarding Draft 2030 Plan, the DEIR, and the Draft SAP.

The meetings start at 7:30 p.m. at the Danville Community Center, 420 Front Street.
