In another incident, two men received "superficial wounds" Saturday night in a downtown gang-related fight, police said.
Frank Gordon III of Long Beach was fatally shot Saturday night shortly after 9:30 p.m. at an apartment complex in the 1700 block of Coronado Avenue. Paramedics with the Long Beach Fire Department declared Gordon dead at the scene, Long Beach police Sgt. David Marander said.
Witnesses said the shooting, which may have started with a fight, took place at a pre-Super Bowl party attended by 40 to 50 people in the apartment complex, City News Service reported.
Detectives believe the shooting might be gang-related, Marander said.

The second shooting occurred at 2:53 p.m. Sunday. Two men were standing on the sidewalk in the 2100 block of Olive Avenue when a Volkswagen Beetle approached. One person in the car shot at the victims, striking one of the men in the leg, Marander said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital
Detectives believe the shooting was gang-related, Marander said.

The stabbing took place about 11:15 p.m. Saturday at Ninth Street and Lime Avenue. Two men in their early 20s reportedly engaged in a gang-related fight with another man. The men received "superficial wounds," and the suspect fled, Marander said.
The victims were "uncooperative" with investigators who were trying to identify the suspect, Marander said.
