POMONA - College- and tech school-bound students can find answers to their admissions and tuition questions at the spring So Cal College Fair, set for March 6 at the Sheraton Fairplex Conference Center.

Hosted by The Learning Centers at Fairplex, it will feature nearly 100 colleges and tech schools, seminars and workshops geared toward helping students - and parents - find the road to success. Admission is free.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. Parking at the conference center is $5.

It is open to all students throughout Southern California. Participating schools include liberal arts colleges, UCs, cosmetology, professional, technical and culinary schools.

Workshops, presented by Wells Fargo, are:

"How to get accepted into your first choice college" with Joe Twohig

"Understanding financial aid" with Stephanie Hancock

"Athletic recruitment simplified" with former Stanford University and NFL player Julian Jenkins

Students may visit the on-site counselor center to ask questions about college requirements.

Students can pre-register on line at socalcollegefair.com and bring their bar code to the college fair to be scanned for a chance to win one of three scholarships.
