A sheriff's deputy was nursing minor injuries Friday after his cruiser collided with another car in Lakewood.
A man on a bicycle was also injured when he was struck by debris from the crash, which happened around 9:45 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Pioneer Boulevard and Walcroft Street, said Lt. Joe Nicassio of the Los Angeles County sheriff's Lakewood Station.
The deputy was taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released. The cyclist was also taken to a hospital, but neither his condition nor the nature of his injury was available, Nicassio said. The driver of the other car was not injured, he said.
The crash investigation was ongoing, he said.
