Having just conquered South by Southwest, the Joy Formidable now sets its sights on San Francisco.
The wonderful Welsh alt-rock act, which played no less than a half-dozen shows during the music festival held earlier this month in Austin, Texas, performs Friday at the Fillmore.
The trio, consisting of vocalist-guitarist Ritzy Bryan, bassist Rhydian Dafydd and drummer Matt Thomas, is supporting its impressive sophomore set, "Wolf's Law."
The Guards and Fort Lean are also on the bill. Showtime is 9 p.m. Tickets are $22.50 (www.livenation.com).
