SAN BERNARDINO -- John McNelis, 55, and other employees from Sherwin-Williams volunteered to paint the exterior on a house on Cincinnati Street on Friday because the family couldn't afford it.

The painting company partnered with Neighborhood Housing Services of the Inland Empire, an organization dedicated to making home-ownership a reality for the disadvantaged.

The time and supplies were donated by Sherwin-Williams as part of National Painting Week, which ends Sunday. Employees are helping with homes, churches, schools and other projects nationwide this week, according to a news release.
