RICHMOND -- A fire damaged portions of two homes in Richmond on Sunday, a fire official said.
Fire crews responding to reports of a fire at 140 29th St. at noon found two detached garages fully involved, fire Batallion Chief Merlin Turner said. Turner said officials believe the blaze originated in the garage of the 29th Street home, completely destroying it, and spread to a garage at a home next door on Bissell Avenue, causing partial damage.
Turner said it appears flammable products stored in the garage on 29th Street started the fire. No one was injured.
