LIVERMORE -- Two search warrants executed at two city homes netted a handful of arrests in connection with drug and gang activity, police said.
During the first search warrant at a home on the 1800 block of Valley of the Moon Road, officers arrested two family members after police found nearly five dozen marijuana plants and 10 pounds of pot in their home as they conducted a search there.
Loree Latona, 49, and Cody Latona, 21, were arrested on suspicion of manufacturing a controlled substance, marijuana cultivation and possession of marijuana for the purpose of distribution, according to Officer Traci Rebiejo. Their relationship was not immediately known.
Police also recovered evidence that the duo was manufacturing hashish oil inside the home using highly flammable liquid butane, Rebiejo said.
Evidence indicated the hashish oil was being manufactured while a juvenile was inside the residence. The juvenile was taken into protective custody, Rebiejo said.
