SAN JOSE -- Three children and an adult were hospitalized with moderate injuries after a two-car crash on Bascom Avenue directly in front of Santa Clara Valley Medical Center around 6:12 p.m. Monday, said fire officials.
According to San Jose fire Capt. Mike Van Elgort, a total of seven people had to be assessed, but three did not require further medical attention. He said two of those hospitalized appeared to be under age 5.
"No one is considered to be in critical condition," Van Elgort said. "But they were all trauma victims and had to be looked at."
He said two sedans were involved in the crash, but did not have further information about how it may have happened.
