OAKLAND -- BART trains were back on track in all directions on Sunday night after a man was found walking in the Transbay Tube, police said.
About 6:15 p.m. a man entered the tunnel from the Embarcadero station in San Francisco and began walking toward the West Oakland station, a BART spokesman said.
Trains were stopped and BART police removed the man from the tracks about 6:35 p.m.
A BART police spokesman said the man, 66, was cited and then transported to a local hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.
Trains traveling in all directions experienced about a 20-minute delay because of the incident, but are back on track.
