OAKLAND -- Four people, including two children, were wounded in a drive-by shooting near the corner of 104th Avenue and Graffian Street on Sunday afternoon, according to Oakland police.
The victims were passing through the neighborhood on foot when they were fired upon in the 1300 block of 104th Avenue at about 2:20 p.m. Police don't think the victims -- a man, a woman, and two girls ages 8 and 12 -- were the intended targets of the violence.
Police said they are expected to survive their injuries. The adults are being treated at Highland Hospital, while the girls are at Children's Hospital Oakland.
At 4:30 p.m., police were still gathering suspect information and working to establish a motive.
Officers had portions of 104th Avenue and Graffian Street shut down for the investigation. About 18 yellow evidence placards mark the crime scene.
